Back-to-school sales are a great example of retail outlets enticing shoppers with offers of products sold at a loss, with hopes that consumers will buy other goods with stronger margins.

Share a situation in which you were compelled to shop at a store based on a deal that was advertised. Include a response to the following:
- Would you have gone to the store if the deal was not offered?
- Did you buy other sale or nonsale items at the store? Analyze your behavior.
- How do the pricing strategies offered at that store affect the contribution margin?
