During Topic 1 of this course, you will create a case study about a family dealing with addiction. This case study will expand as you refer to it throughout this course and follow your family’s addiction journey.

Consider a typical family dealing with addiction. Create a case study about the family that introduces us to the family, the addiction, and the current dynamics of the family as a result of the addiction. Be sure to incorporate the six family roles as proposed by Wegscheider, which can be found on page 262 of the course textbook.

The case study should be between 700-1,050 words in length.

While APA style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources should be presented using APA formatting guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.
