What in the world is going on?

Review the videos and lectures regarding social welfare issues surrounding women and children. Start a thread to address ” What in the world is going on?” Your thread should discuss a current international social welfare issue facing women and children.

You must integrate material from the module to demonstrate that you have read/watched the content. Please cite in your responses.

Your thread should be min. 500 words. The SUBHEADINGS ARE NOT including in the word count. If the word count is insufficient for your thread or responses, you will not receive credit.

Partial assignments will not be accepted- you must respond to all of the questions and use subheadings.

Use the subheadings:

Read Chapters 3 – 5, and 7 in the Susan C. Mapp text (Human rights and Social Justice in a global perspectives)

1.) What’s the international issue you selected and why? (2 points)

2.) How did this issue and/or what happened that led to the issue being considered a global problem? (20 points)

3.) How is it affecting women and children? Please give a detailed explanation with at least two examples. (20points)

4.) What has been done in the past about this issue? What is currently being done? (20 points)

5.) List 3 recommendations that you think can assist in solving this issue. Please explain each recommendation in detail. (15 points)

6.) Examples from the readings and citations- (8 points)

7.) Grammar etc., quality of responses, and organization. (15 points). If there are major issues with grammar etc., you will not receive any points.
