The issue here is on the topic smoking shouldn’t be allowed in public areas including hangout places like bars and restaurants, which is subjected to negotiation. Coming to Negotiation, the process involves ten steps process (Lewicki, Saunders &, Barry, 2015). Defining the goal of Negotiation is the first step. Here in our case the primary goal is to make public places including bars and restaurants smoke free by banning. Next would be defining the main issues which relates to success of this negotiation objective. Our goal here is integrated with many issues like Smoking ban in places where they are wide-range of people which allows the smoke to spread and cause damage to them. Third one is to document all the concerns and issues rank them in the priority order. (Lemstra, Neudorf, &, Opondo, 2008). In our case the main important factor is cause of cancer. Next is to define all the interest like to minimize the linked health effects by smoke and the expenses which are needed for the treatments. Fifth would be the step to find out the alternatives to the current concerns like having dedicated smoke places. Next step involves in finding the thresholds like limiting the dedicated places for smoking. (Lemstra, Neudorf, &, Opondo, 2008). Seventh is to understand all the parties which involved here and analyze the threshold of every party like smoking parties, public places and also the sellers. Eight step is open this to bids and allow everyone to present their objectives and concerns. Step nine involves awareness of the issues and concerns. Last step here is to present the issue to the whole audience which involves the parties for discussing and evaluating on behalf of both the smokers and non-smokers. (Linnan, &, Steckler, 2002).
